Barcelona star has no plans to leave despite recent speculation

Barcelona are expected to be very active in the transfer market over the summer, and in order for their desired signings to be made, existing players will need to be sold on. Andreas Christensen could be one of those to depart, having been linked with a departure over the last few weeks.

Despite this speculation, Christensen only has eyes for staying on at Barcelona, as reported by Sport. The 28-year-old expects reports on his future to continue emerging because of his strong performances, but his intention is to continue in Catalonia for the 2024-25 season.

Barcelona officials have been very impressed with Christensen, and especially with his adaptation to the pivot role in Xavi Hernandez’s midfield. Because of his ability to play there adequately, it makes complete sense for him to stay on, although there’s no doubt that his future could be on the line is a tempting offer is received during the summer.
